Our Focus Areas

Leadership & Mentoring for Real-World Success

At Rise Up Academics, we prepare students to thrive in academic, professional, and community settings by combining direct training with real-world experience. Our program equips students with the professional habits and interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively, collaborate confidently, and lead with emotional intelligence.

We provide hands-on training in:

Clear and confident communication
Collaborative teamwork and problem solving
Emotional intelligence and self-awareness
Project planning and time management
Effective presentation and public speaking

In addition to our internal training, we partner with local business leaders to design meaningful internship opportunities. These partners serve as mentors, offering students practical experience, professional feedback, and exposure to real workplace expectations. Together, we create a supportive environment where students learn, practice, and refine the skills that will help them succeed in their future careers.

The Gap in Technology

There is a large technological gap experienced in many schools, meaning students may not have the means to obtain the equipment they need to be successful.

This gap can impact students in more ways than one. It contributes to low performance in many students, as students with access to better internet and technology will do better, and face less disadvantages.

Technological Waste

Companies and individuals are constantly upgrading their technology to have the latest and greatest on the market, but what happens to the systems when they have lost their usefulness? Most of the time, that laptop ends up in a landfill, maybe recycled. What if we could give it new life?

Through refurbishing these machines, Rise Up Academics plans to help put them into the hands of children in need. This also creates opportunities for Ignite Scholars to learn how to repair these systems through internship.
